How we work

Three things shape every job we take.

The phone is answered by a plumber. Not a call centre reading from a script. The person you speak to can tell you what is likely wrong, what to do in the meantime, and when a truck will actually arrive.

The price is flat and agreed first. We do not run an hourly clock, because an hourly clock means our interest and yours point in opposite directions. You hear a number, you agree to it, and that is the number on the invoice however long the work takes us.

Nights cost the same as days. No overtime multiplier, no weekend rate, no holiday surcharge. If a burst pipe at 3am costs double, people wait until morning, and by morning it is a restoration job instead of a plumbing repair.

What we will tell you

We will tell you when a repair beats a replacement. We will tell you when something can wait a month and save you money. And we will tell you when a problem is outside what we do, rather than taking the job anyway.

That costs us the occasional large invoice and it is why people call us back.

Where we work

All of Iowa - the Des Moines metro, the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City corridor, the Quad Cities, Siouxland, the Cedar Valley, and several hundred smaller towns in between. Pricing is the same everywhere. There is no travel premium for being outside a metro.
